A Frame Made of Acrylic!

It's been a while since our last long post, but it certainly hasn't been for lack of working. If anything, it is from working so much on our hippo that we didn't have time to update the blog. So what have we been working on? Making the final iteration of our frame. First, cardboard. Next, masonite. Finally, beautiful acrylic.

So, basically the last few days have been spent designing the final resting place for all of our components, CADing it all up, lasercamming, machining, cleaning (can't find anything!), and gluing. Many sleepless nights later, we hope to have the assembly mostly done for our final bot and have it driving around. We are really excited to finally try out the omnidirectional wheels with our bot and the ball searching code. By our next post, hopefully we will be successfully navigating the playing field!
